Griffith Goats is located between Callaway and Broken Bow Nebraska. The goats are co-owned between Bob Griffith and JoEllen Wiese. The primary focus is on pasture improvement by using the goats to clear away problem brush and browse which in turn produces more grasses for cattle and an overall improvement in range condition.
We are currently running an average of 1,000 commercial does. To state it as simply as possible, our goals are:

Growth with Good Muscling
* Good
Mothering Capabilities
Each year the herd
improves
and we are quite pleased with the results we are seeing, although we do
understand that focus on these goals must be maintained for as long as
we are in business in order to continue to see overall herd improvement
year
after year.
We also have a small number of registered fullbloods/purebreds. These are used for producing high quality replacements (especially bucks) for both our own operation and also for sale.

We will continue to strive to improve the genetics of our herd

each successive generation. We shall do so while maintaining
focus on the overall improvement of our pastures.
